Q: Can a non-hunting guest sit in the blind with me?

 

A: Yes, if you bring someone with you and they would like to accompany you on your hunt they are more than welcome. They can video and take photos for you.

Q: If I schedule a hunt and then I have to cancel what happens?

A: Things happen. We totally understand! Simply give us a call and we can change the dates with no problem! YOU WILL NEVER LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT!

Q: Can I bring a gun AND a bow?

A: You sure can! Bring any weapon See list of weapons below) or as many as you wish. If you have no luck with one, try another.

Q: Is there an age limit?

A: We offer hunts to all ages, bring the kids and the grandparents!

Q: How soon can you schedule a hunt for next season?

A: You can schedule a hunt for next season anytime! Some hunters schedule out two years to get the specific dates they need. Also, if you are looking to make payments, it will give you more time.

Q: What is the policy of drinking alcohol on the ranch?

A: You are more than welcome to bring some drinks along. We do not permit any hunting during or after drinking. After your hunt, you can relax by the fire enjoying a drink.

Q: May my child hunt also?

A: Yes, if you schedule a hunt and want to bring a child, you may add a hunt to your hunt.

Q: How is the balance paid?

A: If you make payments or just pay the deposit, the balance is due at the end of your hunt. You are required to be paid in full before you leave camp at the end of your hunt. The initial deposit is made by credit card over the phone, or by mailing in a check you are welcome to make payments with your card or by mailing a check. The balance that is due at the end of your hunt will be paid by cashiers check, cash, or credit card.

Q: Do you have a payment plan?

A: We do not have a payment plan. However, you can pay the deposit as required and if you wish to make payments before your hunt you are more than welcome to do so.

Q: Do we have to wear hunter orange or anything specific?

A: You do not have to wear hunter orange on a ranch.

Q: How do we hunt?

A: The choice is up to the hunter! We have a lot of tree stands we just got hung all over the ranch! We have several ground blinds, some are elevated! If you do not want to sit still, you are more than welcome to spot and stalk or safari style hunt.

Q: Is there a lot of walking?

A: We are fully handicap accessible! There isn’t much walking as we use the Polaris Rangers to navigate on the ranch. Our blinds are also handicap accessible.

Q: Is there an age limit?

A: We offer hunts to all ages, bring the kids and the grandparents

Q: What are the meals like?

A: The meals are all homemade! You will have a wonderful breakfast spread. Lunch is typically soup, stew, or chili and cold cut sandwiches. Dinner is a hearty meal, sometimes on the grill. There is always dessert!

Q: What are the sleeping arrangements?

A: We have several rooms with multiple beds. Some rooms have bunk style bedding and other rooms with queen size beds. If you bring your other half, you will have a room to yourselves.

Q: Is there WIFI and cable TV at the lodge?

A: Yes, we have Direct TV television and Wifi connection at all the lodges on the ranch.

Q: If I live in Indiana, will this hunt use my tag?

A: No, we have a tag for every buck on the ranch that we will give you. You can still hunt on your own land for another animal.

Q: What rifles can I use at the preserve?

A: Here is the exact wording from the recently passed law in Indiana regarding deer hunting with rifles for deer.

(b) A hunter may use a rifle during the firearms season to hunt deer subject to the following:

(1) The use of a rifle is permitted only on privately owned land.

(2) The rifle must have a barrel length of at least sixteen (16) inches.

(3) The rifle must be chambered for one (1) of the following cartridges:
(A) .243. (B) .30-30. (C) .300. (D) .30-06. (E) .308.

(4) A hunter may not possess more than ten (10) cartridges for the rifle while hunting deer under this section.

Q: Can I use straight wall cartridges?

A: Yes you can use straight wall cartridges. Any gun that is legal for Indiana’s regular deer season is legal to use on the ranch.

Q: What is the total cost and what other charges are there?

A: The total cost is determined by the class of deer you choose to harvest. The cost of the deer includes the meals, lodging, guide services, license, tags, and there are no trophy fees! Everything is included! There is a $1000 non- refundable deposit per hunter required and then the price by the class of deer. THAT IS IT! No hidden fees!

Q: Is it customary to tip your guide and staff?

A: Tips are not mandatory, however they are much appreciated for the staff. The staff works very hard to make sure your hunt is a once in a lifetime hunt. Normal tips at 5-10% of the hunt price.

Q: Will you explain the $1000 non-refundable deposit.

A: To get your hunt scheduled you are required to pay a $1000. deposit. We do this by credit card over the phone.

Q: What does No Kill, No Pay mean?

A: No kill, No pay is our policy! If you come on your hunt and do not harvest an animal you will not be charged! We do not refund the deposit, however, you will never lose it! You can use that deposit to schedule another hunt for a different time.

Q: Is it cheaper per hunter if we have a group?

A: Yes, our group rates begin with groups of 5 or more hunters.

A: Yes, at X Factor Whitetails, we are greatly appreciative of the work the guys and gals do to ensure our freedom! We offer great discounts!

Q: Is there a charge per day for non-hunting guests?

A: At this time there is NO CHARGE for non hunting guests.
